I can't believe that Alyssa is six. It makes me so sad that she is growing up. I have told her that this is as old as she gets she doesn't get to grow up, although she assures me that she will still love me even when she is a teenager. (I am going to get this in writing and keep it to remind her when she is sixteen)
We had a luau party. Alyssa had so much fun handing out leis to everyone as they came in.
She had lots of friends from school and church that came. There were about 20 little girls running through the house.
We did a treasure hunt all around the house and then played limbo. It was so much fun.
Of course opening presents is always the highlight of the party.
The cake turned out so cute. We made a little hula girl with a grass skirt. She was so excited about it and asked everyone as they came in if they wanted to see her cake.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe she is 6 either! I remember the day she was born. You had to eat at Iceburg while in labor and then at the hospital you cried and I was really scared!! :) The next morning we came to the hospital and that's the day Garrett locked himself out of our apartment and being the genius he is, decided that his arm would make it through the mail slot to the inside door knob. I just watched laughing the whole time. And, then he was mad you didn't name her Riley. He's such a dork. Tell Alyssa we love her.
ReplyDeleteAlyssa is six already?! Wow!! She sure is a cutie! I can't believe you had twenty little girls to her party (crazy). Alyssa is so sweet and I hope she had the best birthday ever! Tell her Aunt Peg says happy late birthday and give her a kiss for me.
