We had a luau party. Alyssa had so much fun handing out leis to everyone as they came in.
She had lots of friends from school and church that came. There were about 20 little girls running through the house.
We did a treasure hunt all around the house and then played limbo. It was so much fun.
Of course opening presents is always the highlight of the party.
The cake turned out so cute. We made a little hula girl with a grass skirt. She was so excited about it and asked everyone as they came in if they wanted to see her cake.

So much for keeping updated on my blog. Our camera has kind of kicked the bucket so we don't have much to share at the moment. Just hanging out with my family. My kids make me laugh (or cry) daily. At least they are really cute.
Pat and I actually met on a blind date. Everyone kept saying they wanted to set us up, but Pat just decided to call one day and I said "why not", (I figured I could get a free dinner out of it) Turns out that he was pretty great and we kept going out. That was the end of November 2003, we got engaged in February 2004 and were married on June 19 2004. The last 4 1/2 years have flown by, we have had so much fun as well as craziness and we can't wait for the rest of our lives.
Alyssa Jane 6 years old
Alyssa is such a fun, loving girl, but she sure has a mind of her own. (I don't know where she gets it from!) She is loving kindergarten and is excited to "be a reader". She loves playing with friends, playing in the snow, and anything that has to do with art. She loves to draw and paint, I think she is great, but I might be a little biased. We are so glad to have her spunky personality to keep us going.
Landen Cole 2 years old
Landen is so much fun! He makes me laugh all day long. He has taken after his sister in the talking area and sometimes you can't get him to stop. He loves anything that has to do with vroom vrooms (motorcycles), monster trucks, 4-wheelers, or cars. He is such a little comedian and we love to have him make us laugh.
I thought that I would put in a little about what our family likes to do. We love camping, boating, 4-wheeling, and snowboarding when we get the chance. The craziest thing that Pat and I have done is definitely skydiving in Hawaii on our Honeymoon. It was so much fun, but I don't know if I would do it again (I think I am becoming a chicken in my old age!) Definitely worth it once though!
